Farwell, My Friend
by Lori Pipkin.........................................
|
Farewell, My Friend Where his cage once stood there are I remember a lively rabbit, a 6lb bundle of joy and curiosity. My home was his home for 14 years. The smallest of the litter, he fit in my hand with room to spare. Without a mom, I became his. Each morning, wrapped in a towel I held him close to my chest; he could hear the beating of my heart. He quickly became my baby as we glided in the rocker. Now my baby is gone but still I hold him close to my heart. I will not forget how I comforted him and the comfort he gave me. Goodbye Bumper,
