My Little Angel

                                                                                                                    by Laurie Petty.........................................

When Dylan Austin came into our lives it was a sad day. My sister and best friend Karen was sick with cancer and she lost her Angel Lydia. I was trying to comfort her by finding her a new Baby. She found TWO Bailey and Mackenzie and I found their perfect brother Dylan. It was February 22,1997. The kittens were 6 1/2 weeks old and adorable. Dylan fit right in at home, idolizing his big brother Cody (a blue-point himalayan). In August of that year we made our family complete with the addition of KyLeigh (a blue-cream persian). Everything was great! I had three wonderful kids who I adored and loved more than anything. Then on November 19,2000 everything changed. My kids were at the vet getting groomed and when I received the phone call thinking they were going to tell me they were ready I was in for the worst thing I could ever imagine. The Dr. was telling me something went wrong and Dylan was gone. I was in shock. I knew I couldn't be hearing her right. My baby is 2 years and 10 months old. He is supposed to be with me for along time. The rest of the day was a blur. Luckily someone from our regular vet went to pick my babies up and bring them to there hospital so I could say Goodbye to my "Little Baby Boy". After an autopsy was performed we learned that Dylan suffered from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. He showed no signs and Thank God he didn't suffer. There are times I still can't believe he is gone but I now know he is over the Bridge and has many new friends to play with. Back home in Allen, TX we have expanded our family to include a lilac-cream point Himalayan Casidie Dyan and a lilac-point himalayan Cameron Austin. TO OUR ANGEL DYLAN- WE MISS YOU SO MUCH IT HURTS BUT WE KNOW YOU ARE AT PEACE AND WE'LL BE TOGETHER AGAIN ONEDAY. WE WILL BRING YOUR CHILI-PEPPER AND YOUR SMILEY FACE AND NIGHT-NIGHT MOUSY ALONG WITH YOUR FAVORITE TREATS. WE'LL SING YOUR FAVORITE SONGS TO YOU AND YOU CAN MAKE BREAD AND PURR ALL YOU WANT. I'M SORRY YOU'RE GONE BUT I NOT SORRY ABOUT HAVING YOU FOR SUCH A SHORT TIME. YOU MADE ME A BETTER PERSON AND FILLED ME WITH SUCH HAPPINESS. I AM HONORED AND LUCKY TO BE YOUR MOMMY.WE'LL LOOK FOR YOU WHEN WE CROSS THE BRIDGE AND I'M GIVING YOU THE BIGGEST HUG IN THE WORLD. WE LOVE YOU PEEKY----- lOVE MOMMY, DADDY, CODY, KYLEIGH, CASIDIE, CAMERON, GRANDMA, GRANDPA,ABBY,SABRINA,STEVIE,CAITLIN,AMANDA,AUNT KAREN,RANDY,BAILEY,MACKENZIE AND RILEY
