We got Jake as a puppy and as he was growing up his best friend, Buck got hit by a car. After a while my mom, Jenny had my sister and I and he stayed by our side all of the time. When we were hurt he'd be at our side trying to help us up. When we were babies laying on a mat outside on a hot summer day he would lay beside us the whole time. He would lay there for hours no matter what happened. He helped us through tuff times when we lost someone in our family. As the years went by we played with him and one time I fell asleep with him on the carpet and my mom took a picture and it turned out really cute! But he kept getting older and older. Nobody could stop that.... we never wanted to let him go. One day he didn't look too well and wouldn't take his pills wrapped in cheese, which he loved so much. the next day he wouldn't eat food or not even roast beef. he drank alot and kept spitting up the water he drank. So we had no choice but to put him down... he was the best dog anyone could ever have. I still think of him today and i will never forget him even though it is almost a year since he went. And I hope he never forgets us where ever he is now. And thats the story of the best dog we could ever have.
