I has to have my precious brandy put to sleep after just 5 years with me. He had back surgery. After surgery he couldn't walk. We tried to get him to walk but his right leg was now paralyzed. He kept getting urine burn from dragging himself and voiding on himself even tho we washed him numerous times a day.He lost all bladder control and bowel muscles, which left him open all the time.He was not happy to be doing his job just whenever and where ever. The vet said he would not be able to walk or get any better. We had to make the hard decision to put him to sleep which we did 12/07/04 I keep asking myself did I make all the right decisions. Should I have given him surgery, Did I get the best Vet,Did I give him long enough and finally does he forgive me for all my decisions. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and cry for all least an hour. Does the sadness and sorrow ever go away.
