"...So Much More Than That"
Little boy, my pride and joy, They say youre just a cat But oh, to me, youre so much more, So much more than that. From love you came, one August day, A sight so sweet to see You quickly won my little heart And became, my boy to me. For children did I never bear, Nor was it meant to be But there you were, this little guy So soft and cuddly. And when the love that brought you Had died and gone away There you were to comfort me In your own, so special, way
You comforted this widow In times of great distress And warmed me on those cold, cold nights When life was such a mess.
You kept Godss promise to me With all your warmth and love You were my little angel My blessing from above. And now, my precious little one The time has too soon come To say good-bye, at least for now For soon you will be gone. I believe in Gods great Love For creatures great and small He gathers up His treasures And keeps them one and all.
