Ginger's Rescue
by Sharon Troute
Ginger found her way into our home by chance..but made her way into our hearts immediately with her beautiful big brown eyes. She was mistreated in her first home and brought to the vet to be put down. The vet cleaned her up and fixed her boo boo's and introduced her to me. For the past eight years she was my little girl....never 100% healthy, but always enjoying her life of sleep, food, treats and love. If you have never gotten a pet from a shelter, I urge you to do so. The love you give them and the love they give back is immeasurable. Ginger's little body wore out, her eyes were both covered with cataracts. But, it comforts me to know that yesterday her last meal was part of a T-bone steak, a large T- bone and ice cream for dessert. I buried her with her last bone and the last ball she ever played with back when she could see. Ginger's life was made good and I am so happy I could partially make up for the bad start she had. Good bye my sweet little GiGi........Mommy
