Daddy & Mommy's Girl

by connie spoon.........................................

Lucy I remember the day we got you. Brittany wanted a dalmation because daddy was a fireman. She said she would take care of you which soon became mommy's job. I did not mind though you were so cute and sweet. We brought you home and the first thing you did was pee on the runner. We put you in the bathtub the first night and you cried. We got you out and you started sleeping in the bed. You were a little mischevious you like to chew on things and even tore the blinds up in the house one time tring to see out or either get out, I don't know which. You did not get into trouble for it though. Daddy said you could do anything and it would be okay with mommy.

The years went by and you became ill. I took you to the vet and found out you had diabetes. The vet put you on insulin and you got better even though you had to have 2 shots a day. Then several years went by & you became ill again, this time pancreatitis. I took you to the vet again and you had to go every day for a week for iv treatments, but you came out a winner again. The last time you went for your yearly checkup which wasn't long ago the vet said he was pleased with your health, you were doing well.

The day you passed was a tragic day. I never dreamed you would die the way you did. Mommy had went to the hospital to be with Matthew for his surgery and then to the store. I called daddy and he said that you and him were outside. Stacy came home with Matthew and stopped in the drive to talk to daddy. Daddy said you were sitting beside him one minute and the next your were rolling out from under Stacy's car as she pulled down the drive. I have ask him over and over how this could have happened but he says he don't know it all happened so fast. He called me and told me what had happened and he was on his way to the vet with you.I met him in Ingles's parking lot and when I open the door I felt of your heart and your heart beated 3 times and you were gone. Thankyou for waiting on mommy although it broke my heart. Stacy never knew you were in front of the car, no one did. No one in your family would have ever hurt you. We are all so sorry! We love and miss you deeply and you will never be forgotten.

ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS:
Daddy, Mommy, Stacy, Brittany & Jacob
