My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Michelle...what a beautiful girl. It is never easy to let them go but we do it for them. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Hello Michele, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Sophie. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on there memory and begin to celebrate there life. Please take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander in July 2008 & have attached his link if you care to visit. Dear Michele, she's so beautiful and looks so sweet and cuddly in her picture. What a wonderful blessing that she was with you for many years. I know the sorrow of losing a precious little companion to old age and illness but we must always know that our babies have gone to a happy place where they are young and well again. Sophie now plays like a kitten in heaven's most beautiful meadow. My two kitties, Inky and Bubba Lou, the lights of my life, were there to welcome Sophie and I am sure they have fallen in love with her sweet and playful ways. Our babies know that they will be reunited with their earthly mommies someday. When we cross the bridge and they come running to greet us, we will be with them forever more. Until then, may happy memories of Sophie bring healing and may God bless you with comfort and peace. I understand and care. Jane

((Michele)) First I send you prayers of healing and comfort in your loss. I work in rescue and mostly with seniors so sadly I know how heartwrenching it is to have to "make the decision" for the beautiful ones that we love more times that I want to remember really. I have learned this thru all the eyes I have looked into as they leave this world for heaven, it is the most precious and most unselfish last act of human love we can bestow upon those who have given us so much love to be able to help them from their pain to a place that is filled with forever good health and love. May the memories you made on this side keep you til the day comes when you and Sophie are reunited once again in heaven.

Sophie - You are a little cutie with adorable bright eyes! Send the family some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many happy times! Let Michele know that God has appointed you to be her guardian, protector to watch over her until she is called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. A Doll. From looking at her, I believe her "meows" would sound suspiciously like scolping. It is one of the most difficult decisions to make, we know. We also know the pain will become manageable with time. It'll be right there, tucked away in the corner of your heart.

My Sidney was on the bridge to welcome Sophie to her new home. They are laughing and playing enjoying no pain. I have asked them to send you a rainbow from heaven above. It is a upside down smile. When you miss Sophie the most listen to your heart, her love and paw print are there.

Michele, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts.
