RIP, Amber. You were such a sweet, highly intelligent, beautiful, loving companion to us for 25 years. Sadly, we had to take you to the vet earlier today. The X-ray showed you had cancer. We knew you were suffering and had to make the agonizing, ultimate loving decision so we both tenderly kissed you good-bye, looked in your eyes for the last time and let you go to a better place. We will miss your enchantingly melodic, singsong voice talking to us in perfect, clear English which you learned yourself because you wanted so eagerly to communicate with us and express your feelings. You knew the meaning of every word you spoke and used them appropriately. What other kind of God's creatures can do that with humans? That's what makes it so hard. |
