Memories of Amber Elia
💔🕊️ RIP, Amber 🕊️💔
You were such a sweet, highly intelligent, beautiful, loving companion to us for 25 years. 🐦💞

Sadly, we had to take you to the vet earlier today. We were so worried when you didn't talk or sing in the car like you always used to... that silence told us something was very wrong. 💔

Tragically, the X-ray showed you had cancer. 💔

We knew you were suffering, and with the deepest regrets we had to make the most agonizing, yet ultimately loving decision. We held and kissed you gently and tenderly, looked into your eyes one last time, and let you go to a better place -- where pain can't reach you anymore. 🌈🕊️

You were too weak to say "Bye!" the way you always did whenever we left... and that broke our hearts. 💔 But now, you're where you can fly high and free, with soft breezes and warm sunshine surrounding you always. 🌤️

We know you felt every ounce of our love in those final moments...in our tears, our trembling hands, and our shattered hearts. 💔 You couldn't sing "Mommy loves!" or even say "Bye!" that one last time, but we knew what you meant. We always knew. 💞🕯️

You loved us with your whole heart, dearest Amber, just as we loved you with ours. You understood we did what we had to so you wouldn't suffer anymore. You felt our love holding you like the softest blanket before you took your last breaths. 🤍🌬️

Now you're flying, talking, singing again -- watching over us from the sky. 🌈💫

And one day, when the time is right, we'll see you again. You'll fly right into our arms, singing "Mommy loves!" and we'll never be apart again. 🕊️💖

Until that day, we will miss your enchanting, melodic, singsong voice -- speaking in perfectly clear English, which you learned all by yourself just because you wanted so eagerly to express your feelings with us. 🗣️🎶 Your knew the meaning of all the words you spoke, and you used them appropriately.

"She hatched from an egg,
fragile and innocent,
with a soul too vast
for the shape that held it.
Feathers grew,
but so did something rarer:
a voice shaped not by echo,
but by thought.

She listened--truly listened--
not just to what we said,
but to what we felt.
And she spoke,
clearly, truthfully,
in the tongue we thought was ours".

What other kinds of God's creatures can do that?

That's what makes it so unbearably hard. 😔🖤

Fly free now, sweet Amber. 🌤️💔 We will love and miss you forever.
