Bigs was a former breeding cat of the Megacoon Cattery in Pittsboro NC from her birth to Feburary 15th, 2019, her original owner for 8 years of her life was Johnny Hardee. I met Bigs when she was called Reba in Summer of 2017. We were extremely close from the first day we met, and I visited her as often as possible. Eventually I was granted the oppurtunity to adopt her. In the process she needed a tumor removed. Little did anyone know that it was a sign for her eventual fate. On May 4th, 2021 she was put down at around 10:30 AM, due to what was very likely late stage cancer which made the last week of her life very hard. Bigs was a true maine coon, and was extremely gentle and motherly, giving kisses and always sitting with you if you sat down. This is the worst loss I have ever faced behind that of my brother a couple years ago. She was like a little child to me. I feel her fate could have been avoided, as I mistook her behavour for weeks as stress due to changes made around the house due to two of our other cats fighting. I am beyond heartbroken. I didn't expect she would be gone so quickly. This is a loss that will stick to me the rest of my life.
