Memories of Cotton Puff V
The doctor said have a pet to welcome you home. Sold all my small critters and started looking. Stopped at a local pet store. There you were a little ball of fur just a puppy. Your name came from the way you were and the song. "How much is that doggie in the window?" You were all curled up like a cotton puff.
I took a loan out to bring you home. There began the 10 year story of our lives as one. You stole my parent's heart. You had the best groomer. She did it in her home and did everything. You and I were as one.

Then came my separation from the Air Force and the place you knew as home changed. The first move was to a familiar place, my parents home. Dad dotted over you and spoiled you. Then it was time to move to my final home in Illinois. The stress was too much for your small body. You had seizures. Then colitis. Medicine made you thirsty and caused nausea. I promised you "If there was no quality of life, then I would send you home to the Rainbow's Bridge. On a cold November day, I sent to the Bridge to run free.
