Derius was born in Leipzig Germany and Barb and Lance Hooker drove me there on June 7, 2008. It was wonderful meeting Derius and he changed my life! Derius was so loving and sweet. Derius lived in many countries. He lived in Germany and then Okinawa and then he lived out the rest of his life in Florida. Derius loved to chase a little yellow ball and he loved his little smushy pink egg. Derius was always groomed so beautifully in a puppy cut. When I got Derius he had never had his first hair cut but then he went to puppy cuts. Derius was a great traveler as we traveled the roads in Germany in my little red Volvo. One spring break I took him with me to Munich. His favorite part was the English Garden in the park there. Derius used to enjoy going shopping and out to eat with me. Sometimes I would sneak him to the school on work days for teachers and he would have a great time. Once when no one was at the school he snuck on the stage at Bamberg School! Derius was surprised when he moved to Okinawa that now he had a brother. In just a few weeks he warmed up and loved his brother Petit. He really loved to play with Petit and Petit loved to play with him. We will miss you so much but you have crossed the rainbow bridge and are waiting for us when we get to you one day! You left your mark on my heart that I never knew. I miss you so much Derius. |
