Memories of Frappe
Frappe ran our house. She was in charge and made sure everyone knew it. She was rescued from a puppy mill and weighed less than 2 pounds but quickly regained her health. The moment we locked eyes on her we knew she was coming home with us.

She loved running around our backyard and chasing all the squirrels. She watched from the windows to let us know if any dangerous critters entered our yard and she'd activate her alarms to let us know. Although she was a little thing, her bark was loud and strong. You knew she meant business.

We renamed our sunroom, Frappe's room, as that's where we'd usually find her. She loved sleeping on the sofa in there or just watching the birds and squirrels from the window. When she was little, she would carry her stuffed "Horsey" with her everywhere, including going outside to potty. She loved our cats but could not stand it if they were sitting somewhere she could not go. She'd bark and go crazy trying to get to them. Of course, she loved her sister, Latte, and she was always trying to beat her when running into the house.

She would let us know whenever she wanted a snack. She was relentless in this department and her favorite snacks were rice cakes, carrots, lettuce and melon. Of course, she loved her dental chews. We had a bedtime routine of play fighting -- rolling on her back and growling, which she loved, and I swear she would not go to sleep until we did it.

She had her share of medical issues and survived them all but this latest was too much for her little body to recover. She was loving, sweet, and just a precious soul. Our lives were shattered yesterday when she left and we cannot imagine life without her. We know she is no longer suffering and is in our Lord's arms. We are comforted by that. She is forever etched in our hearts and our memories will sustain us until we meet again. "Prissy Butt", "Princess Barks-A-Lot", Frappe you will always be in our hearts and we love you forever.

"If tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me I'm right here in your heart."
