Gus was a 12 year old lab retriever who passed away on October 10, 2012 due to lameness of hind legs. He was serious, intelligent and loving and LOVED FOOD! He was a protector and an angel to our Lab, his companion Gabbie Loo, who passed away today, Novemeber 5, 2012. He loved to eat, sleep and be loved on and was so sad when he could not participate with us due to lack of functioning of his hind legs. He would try to talk sometimes and make strange noises and he looked out after all of us. He would sometimes sneak up on you in the woods or when taking a shower, especially if a storm was occurring. He loved children but was sensitive to noise unless you fed him then he would deal with it. He helped me through so much in my life and I will NEVER FORGET HIM AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM. he was meant to be in my life as my other lab, Gabbie Loo, and they have given me a different prospective on dieing and knowing I will see them someday gives me comfort when the Lord decides to call me home.
