Hayden, aka Kitty, was adopted from the Green County Humane Society in Monroe, WI on 11/6/2014 by myself and my father when I was just in Elementary school. She got me through all my tough times and was there for me during my happiest times. She was skittish and shy but cuddly with those she knew most. She didn't say much and never complained, all she asked for was a dish of food and somewhere to sleep. She was abused as a kitten, the Humane Society stating they found her with a big gash in her head from someone hitting her with (most likely) a hammer, so she never warmed up to new people much in her adulthood. She could never do wrong. She would go through times of sickness and be better, before getting sick again. The vets we took her to could never figure out what was wrong until the day before she passed away. She unfortunately passed of GI Lymphoma a month after her 8th birthday in 2022, she was set to be put down the next day but she didn't make it through the night. I cried as I held her one last time and told her it was okay to go. She deserved to live so much longer but it was her time. I miss her everyday and I wish I could've held her longer when I had her. |
