You earned your wings , sweet girl, and what a journey it was. From the moment you entered my life, you did more than simply exist...you rescued me. With your gentle heart, your hippie - hop joy, and your quiet grace, you taught me what unconditional love truly looks like.
One of my 4 rescues, yet somehow you carried the softness of a thousand souls. Never fussy, a type B personality of the bunch, best behaved best friend and always content. You made space for your fur siblings, and you filled this home with a peace only you could bring. You lived in quiet with the wisdom of one who knew struggle, yet never let it define you. It took you and I sometime to create the trust , but once we did, well....it was on! I made it my mission that you'd never feel anything less than love and safety, and in return you gave me everything.
You and Nonnie....hmm....what a duo! Sitting together like seasoned newscasters, waiting for breaking updates about " the orange man," sharing laughs and silent barks, without words, comfort without conditions. And then Steppy (Dubby) came into your world , and in no time, you found a new bond, another heart to trust. That's the kinda babygirl you were.....open, warm and loving to your core. Skeeter, Lulu, Abbey Rose and you were a true pack. We can't forget NY cousin Charlie too! You all came into my life through Star-Mar Rescue and it was the most beautiful and fulfilling experience.
You made me better Hershey. You made everything better. And now you're free but never far. This home, is still very much yours and I will forever keep you alive in my heart.
I still picture your joyful bounce into your bed, the way your presence softened every room, and how deeply you loved without barks and without judgment. Your baby sister Abbey, still heads over to your bed in quest of delivering your morning kisses.
My heart breaks because I miss you but it also overflows because I got the privilege to know you, to love you, to be loved by you.
So run free now , my Babygirl. Run and play with Kody and sit on Stodda Bubbas lap. When the stars are out, I'll be looking for you. The brightest one, hopping joyfully across the sky.
