Holly came to us in Feb 2007 about 1 year old from a shelter in St Augustine Florida. She cried when we drove away with her in the car from the shelter to her new home. Her foster mom came to visit to make sure Holly found a good home. Holly cried her heart out when her foster mom left. Holly was full of energy, super smart and very attached. She quickly attached completely to me and my husband. She loves to go on long walks, pick up sticks, burry them to find them the next day, or many days later. She never forgot where she left a stick. She walked well without a leash, but was very protective of us and people close to us. She loved puppies, but disliked most other dogs. Until she met her sister Tina. Tina and Holly spend their lives together for close to 10 years. Tina taught Holly to be nice around other dogs and people. Holly was always fun, and Tina and Holly got in lots of trouble together. They jumped 6 foot fences out of our backyard and roamed the neighborhood. They ran for hours chasing birds on the beach, squirrel and deer. Holly loved ridding in the car and looking out the window. Tina misses her very much. Holly was 16 years old when she died a year ago. Tina is now 15.5 years old and has 2 little dachshund brothers. Tina was so sad after Holly was gone. Holly we love you!
