Memories of Jackson Cassens
Now I understand why I saw the rainbow early last Sunday morning. I thought it was because of my birthday, but with the trees in the way, I couldn't see that Jackson was sitting there ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Dan and I lost one of our dearest friends ever yesterday. Jackson was a wonderful dog and fierce guarder of both Dan and me. He loved to watch TV with me and really enjoyed my soap opera. He would lay on the carpet when I was cooking dinner and watch me patiently. I would sit his dog food for his dinner out and he would literally walk over to the stove and smell what I was cooking before he would eat his food. He was deciding what he was going to eat and always chose my cooking over the pretty expensive dog food option. He was a true Hoosier dog and loved fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and especially sweet corn. Dan and I will never forget Jackson and hope he is happy at the Rainbow Bridge until we join him. In reading about the Rainbow Bridge this morning, I found a home for him near the bridge by the lake. Mommy and Poppy love you Jackson.

Jackson, Chewy.com sent you some beautiful roses because they miss you so much. That was so nice of them. Mommy and Poppy love you. Sweet dreams to you.

Still missing you sweetheart. Hope you have lots of new friends at Rainbow Bridge. Mommy and Poppy love you.

Happy birthday Jackson. Mommy and Poppy are thinking of you and sending you love. We miss you.

Mommy and Poppy are remembering how much you loved Christmas. You even learned how to open your own Christmas presents without help. It was so much fun celebrating Christmas with you. We miss you Sweetheart and love you. Merry Christmas.

Sweetheart, it is spring already. Mommy and Poppy are sending you a ball and nice salmon steak. If you see Nova, let him come live with you at the Rainbow Bridge. Don't forget you two are brothers. No fighting. We love you Jackson and miss you.

It has been one year ago today that you went to the Rainbow Bridge. I wanted to send you sweet corn, but they must be out of it today, so I sent you a nice ball. You were the best ball player ever. I loved it when you would wind up your pitch and throw the ball back to me as hard as you could. Mommy and Poppy love you Jackson and miss you every day.
