| It has been three years since I lost you, and while the pain has lessened, the hole in my heart will never heal. I still remember that Easter Sunday in 2010 when you chose me at the Humane Society. You cried all the way home and were unsure of your new surroundings for a couple of days. But once you settled in and trusted me, you became the most gentle and loving friend I could have hoped for. You never bit, scratched or hissed at anyone. I cherish the memories of you curled up on my lap purring while we watched TV together. And you were always there to welcome me when I came home from a long day at work. Thank you sweet girl for nine years of love and joy. And thank you for making me a better person, by teaching me patience, devotion and unconditional love. I love and miss you. Dad |
