Lady, I remember the 1st time I saw you. You were at the back of that kennel up against the wall looking sad & hanging your head in depression & fear. I just "knew" you belonged to someone who would come to reclaim you. Luckily I was wrong & a few days later we adopted you We are so glad we gave you your earthly forever home. I will never understand why anyone would hurt such a gentle & loving soul. I am sorry they did.

You came into our lives at about 3 years old. You were so excited to get a new mom & dad. We were just as excited. You knew just what to do to fit into the family, you immediately grabbed our hearts & just loved us. Thank you so much.

We named you Lady Blue Eyes as you acted so dignified & refined. Daddy said you have the most beautiful eyes except for mommy's of course.

Lady there are so many memories of you:
You sleeping at the foot of our bed keeping us safe.
You waiting patiently, except for when you thought we were getting too closed for "your part", of the pizza. Then you "told" us "Hey, that's my part."
You always came when you heard the sound of forks being laid on empty plates as you knew there was usually a little bite for you.
You "supervising" the decorating for any holiday.
You singing to us so many times whether music was playing or not.
You being so gentle with other fur babies & human babies too. How protective you always were of them.
You following me around the house to see what I was doing
You "helping" in the kitchen.
You talking to Tina, Sandy & others while I was on the phone. I guess you heard their voices & were telling them hello.
You asleep on the couch or bed & dreaming with your feet moving & an occasional "woof".
You grinning while "helping" me type email.
You laying behind my chair & sleeping while I did web surfing or
sewed.
You snuggled up to me on the couch while I read after you were done reading with me.
You watching the WA. Huskies play football. How did you know it was them & not another team & they were named for you?
The time you ate the snipped off thread & vomited it back up. You never did that again. You were so smart.
You love car rides.
You waited patiently & greeted us with excitement when we returned if we had to leave you at home.
You being a mother to Rowdy, another rescue baby. You were a gentle mom, sister & pack leader.
You love people & all the belly rubs they give you.
You playing with your stuffed giraffe (which you picked out yourself) & tennis ball, your favorite toys
You being able to tell time & reminding us that 10PM was treat time.
Your wonderful prancing walk with your lovely fluffy tail held in such a high curl
Your velvet ears, blue eyes, those incredibly loving Lady kisses. I miss them.
Lady so many small every day moments that would take a book to record. I miss those incredibly.

12/20/08 Lady I so miss those beautiful blue eyes, stroking those black velvet ears & hugging you so tight. I keep looking for you to help momma decorate, bake & wrap presents. You sang along with the music while supervising all the holiday preparations. Oh how I miss that.

12/23 Lady, we ended up undecorating & redecorating the tree as some of the lights wouldn't work that worked when we put them on it. Daddy had to go get new lights. Was this your way of letting us know you're near?

12/23 Lady, Aunt Tina & the whole gang came to visit. Yes, Courtney too. They brought me a small stuffed Husky baby dressed for winter. Lady is that what you looked like as a baby? Is this your way of telling me you're always with me?

12/24 Lady it's Christmas Eve & 9 months since we released you. Lady, it seems like forever. Momma still cries when she thinks of you. We talked of you yesterday & looked at a few photos. We all miss you so much. I am trying so much to make this a special Christmas but it is hard as we are missing you.

10/30/2014 Rowdy has now joined the two of you & we grieve yet again. We do have the peace of knowing you're all playing in perfect health now. We will keep you always in our hearts. We'll never forget how we "failed" as foster parents within 3 hours of you being with us. So the 13+ year weekend has come to an end until we are all reunited once again. Run on your now strong legs, play happy, & rest well until we are reunited one day. We LOVE YOU!
