Memories of Leia Louise May
- Going to the doggy beach.
- Playing frisbee while on the beach trip.
- She gave John lovings at the beach and then growled at them as soon as we got back home.
- Letting Leia do her little introduction and inspection every time someone came over. She had to walk down the steps, sniff them, and then say that they are good to pass.
- Leia could do any trick. She could even jump through hoops.
- She knew exactly what I was saying 100% of the time.
- I loved getting pup cups for her.
- It was so cute when Leia would beg my dad for food. She would always stand beside him in the kitchen, turning her head sideways. She was waiting on crumbs to drop.
- Leia always begged for my food. She would hop up in the kitchen chair with me every day.
- Every day after work, Leia would meet me at the door and then we would go lay down in the floor and I would give her belly rubs for a few hours.
- Lei had so many toys and she loved to play with them all. The most recent one that she had been playing with was her ghost.
- When I would be eating, Leia would bring me her toys as an offering for food.
- We cuddled for at least an hour every morning and then would stretch together.
- I loved how Leia would turn her head while she listened to me talk.
- Leia saved me when I was having a terrible time with OCD.
- Leia loved to go for walks at our local park.
- Leia had a very catlike personality. She was very agile and would perch on the backs of couches and chairs.
- The mail lady was her biggest opp.
- When I would say "LEIA! Grandpaw's coming!!" She would come running to the window so happy.
- Leia hated music. She didn't like anything except rap.
- Some of Lei's favorite snacks were: bananas, peanut butter, blueberries, and chicken.
- Leia waited in the hallway for me to get out of the shower and as soon as I would open the bathroom door, she would roll over for belly rubs.
- I always got Lei gifts for her birthday and holidays. She loved opening her gifts. She opened them herself.
- She had many nicknames: Little bear, Little one, My one, My love, Bearito, Leibearia, Frito Lay, Smunch.
- She had beautiful brown eyes.
- Leia hated taking Christmas photos. She mean mugged every year. (So cute!)
- Leia loved wearing bandannas.
