Lexus( Lexie). Died at 14 1/2 years. She became a member of the family as a puppy, joining her brother Lucas and later Nicholas.Both of her brothers have gone before her. She was always a shy but loving dog. When I first got her, My Niece Jen wanted to call her Lilac Lou. Lexie had her health struggles over the past few years. 5 year cancer survivor since age 9 years.She started to fail in health November 2009. It became hard for her to walk and could not go up or down stairs. May of 2011 she could no longer walk. She was cared for by her Grandpa while Mom worked. She was turned, bathed ,fed and loved till the moment she died and will continue to be loved always. As a puppy Lexie chewed everything. Her favorite item was electric cords. Seemed like she unplugged them first. Thank goodness when she turned 2 years old she stopped chewing. She went to puppy pre school. Spent most of her days hiding under the bench, never the less, has a diploma! She will be so missed.
