Memories of Lita
Lita was found and brought to me by my daughter, Alexis, when she was only 2 and a half months old. Lita had one sibling, her brother Syd the cat. Lita had one human companion, Melinda. We all moved cross country together in one long car ride from Florida to Washington state. Lita's best times were in Washington, hiking and camping with Melinda. She was a frisbee champion, very athletic and playful. Lita was the light in my life for a decade. I will love her always and forever. ♥

Updated 12/12/23:
Those little reminders.
Everywhere I look and everything I do, I am reminded of her.

My online shopping history. Her framed photo on my desk at work.
Her hiking & camping gear mixed in with mine. My bed is cold. The house is quiet.

The backyard... the whole thing. I can't go out there.
Her nose marks on my car's backseat windows. I can't clean my windows.

Sometimes I lay in her dog bed because her scent lingers. Sometimes I carry one of her favorite toys around with me. Every second I mourn her loss. "Grief is the price we pay for love", yes, and I'm paying dearly. My pain has been unbearable.

She was my best friend and my family. I loved her more than I can express. The two of us were one. She knew me better than anyone else. She comforted me when I was sad or anxious. I am lost without her.

In remembrance of Lita ♥ May she be there waiting for me with the others at the Rainbow Bridge ♥
