Memories of Mai Tai
Mai Tai
You came into our lives 2 weeks after your big sister Cash passed away. We missed her so much that Jim started looking and found you on Anti-Cruelty website and loved you immediately. You were 7 months old and had not grown into your ears yet. Your name was Minerva but from the moment Jim saw you he knew you would be.called Mai Tai.
You were completely different than Cash, you didn't care if we went on walks, you were happy in your yard playing with the balls or biting at the water from the hose.
Unfortunately like Cash you had allergies but you were allergic to house dust!! We hated having to give you shots but you were so brave and you were rewarded with either treats or doggy ice cream.
How you loved your car rides!! Took you where we could.
Thank you for being patient with me when Jim was in the hospital and keeping him company when he had his difficult days.
You helped me stay strong when he passed away and for that I will be grateful.
These last 2 years has been you & me and now the most difficult decision I ever had to make was to let you go to be with Jim. I think you tried to hide the pain you had but it became too hard to hide.
You'll always be in my heart.
Give kisses to Jim and Cash.
Love You and miss you
Jan
