Memories of MISSTEE
Misstee--forever in my heart until we meet again

Misstee joined our family in August, 2014. We met at the Denver airport when she was five months old. Having been lost there for over three hours after her arrival from
California she very glad to meet her new family and make the journey to her new home.

Her new friend to be, Libby, also a miniature Schnauzer, was eagerly awaiting her arrival. In no time they were best friends and it wasn't long before she joined Libby In her responsibilities of the household. Keeping watch at the front door was the important one and she would perch on one of two chairs near the door where she had a bird's- view-of anyone who may be approaching. When her dad was sitting in one of the chairs, she quickly joined him, nuzzling close to him while looking up at him with adoring eyes and showering him with lots of kisses.

Chasing rabbits in the backyard along the fence line provided lots of entertainment and also kept her nice and trim. She loved the snow in the winter and made her way through the drifts like a snowplow. Even the howling winds did't bother her as she sniffed the air for any new smells.

Playing with her toys was lots of fun. She loved her squeaky pig and would sometimes share it for a game of tug-of-war with anyone who cared to join her.

Obeying commands wasn't reaiiy her thing. She had a stubborn streak and really had to think things over when asked to do something. She was always eager, however, when dad would invite her to go on his errands with him, or maybe even just a joy ride. She would snuggle into her car bed after she sniffed around to make sure a treat was waiting for her.

One command she did learn was to navigate the stairs to dad's bed at at end of a busy day. This was always one of her favorite things and she would soon settle down for the night.

For almost ten years Misstee, with her wonderful disposition and loving personality, gave us companionship and joy. She will be forever missed and "snuggled in our hearts."
