Welcome to Morgan's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Morgan
Morgie was a magnificent traveller. He travelled back and forth to Florida 13 times. He would get on his bed, get tethered in and sleep until we stopped. He knew he was on a trip and never, ever made a fuss. Even when his health started to deteriorate, he soldiered on. I really hoped he would make the trip this November but sadly he did not. It was very difficult leaving without him and then coming to our home where all his things were and where he would lie at my feet in the morning outside. But he loved Florida and the last 7 years of his life, he didn't have to put up with snow and cold, which he really disliked, particularly the part where he had to wear boots and a coat. His favourite seasons were spring and fall. I am grateful that he lived almost to 17 and it was only in the last three month of his life that he struggled. We became his caregivers and he was grateful. In the end we gave him a gift of freedom from his suffering. He gave us everything in his life. |
