Naco: the day I picked you up in Lucerne Valley California; I knew I would never be the same. Your Amber Eyes and your Howl will remain in my Heart and Mind Forever. You loved to walk with me down the long trails; and protected me as if I was one of your Pack. The memory of you playing Rolly-Polly on the grass is a fond one. I have never owned a Dog quite like you. You did not like other dogs and made it clear to them. I had to socialize you to people; because you were very timid by nature. You stood out in the crowd and although I never shared much of your background; it was plain to see you were part Canadian Timberwolf. I feel that you were misunderstood by many and for this you must have been pretty lonely. Crash took you under his wing when you first arrived at the house; but as you grew older you put him in his place. You were the QUEEN and you had your Thrones. When Crash went to the Rainbow Bridge; we soon got Shane. You had a hard time accepting Shane and did not want any dog to come between you and me. My bond was so strong with you; and I Thank You for coming into my Life and Staying there for 10 years. I watched you suffer long enough; and yesterday I could not endure the pain any longer. You had the Courage of a Lion as I watched the Dr. help you to cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. I will see you again on Friday as we take you to Best Friends in Kanab Utah for your Burial and Service. Whenever I hear the howl of a Wolf I will know that you are still with me. I will Love you Forever Naco; and I will always think of myself as the Woman who Ran With the Wolves. Mom Nancy |
