Nala Becera! Nala was more than just a dog or just a beagle ... she was my child! She was also my first. And I am embarrassed to admit that when I was researching for my first dog, the beagle was not in my Top 5. But then my sister pointed out to me our special brother who was crying as he was holding this little female beagle. When I saw her I immediately fell in LOVE! No more research, no more looking around. So, on August 20, 2005, Nala came into our home and in our lives forever, and for the better. And the name Nala was befitting of such a beautiful, spiritful, smart, spunky, and sometimes stubborn beagle. My favorite and best request (aka "command") of Nala was to "gimme kiss;" it was something that wasn't really taught, just learned as we grew together. Nala was my baby for 14 wonderful years ... very affectionate, full of love and hugs and kisses! There were millions and millions of kisses, I love you's, and hugs (sometime a little too tight) over those 14 years. And those still weren't enough. I wish I could have given more; still wish I could give more. Nala gave me tons of comfort and support, more than I could have ever given her. I loved Nala more than anything else in the world, and will continue that love beyond. Because of Nala, we ended up adopting 3 other beagles throughout the years. Nala joins brothers Marley (2010) and Ziggy (2016) at the Rainbow Bridge. Brother Duke will carry on Nala's spirit. Nala was my heart, my world, my love. She is extremely missed, and though not by my side, always in my heart! Until we are together again.......
