Nico was rescued by us to be my companion. A great companion she was. She made me smile, made me whole and supported me. Always greeted us at the door, just waiting for us to come home. In later years she became a fierce guardian of our children. Couldn't get near their room without Nico telling you to leave. She knew, and understood everything we said. She was our little girl, our sweet pea. She brought sunshine to us in our darkest hours. She will be sorely missed.
