Memories of Penny
Penny was meant to be with us. We brought her home from the Humane Society. We were looking for a dog for my dad. We thought she was adopted, but found she was available. We spent two hours with her, and decided to bring er home. Since that time, she has brought nothing but happiness to our family. Even after our boys were born, she was still the same loyal friend. It never took much to make her happy. A belly rub, a treat, a hug. She was always there, and no matter how bad our days were, she was always there to greet us with a wagging tail. She was the most unselfish soul in our home. Our nightly walks were more for my benefit than hers, especially in her last few months when it probably was harder for her to walk. I'm glad that I loved her more in her later years, when she needed me as much as I needed her. I look forward to the time when we will meet at Rainbow Bridge. I am so happy and grateful for our time together. I believe that we were meant to be. God works in mysterious ways. I now know why Penny came into our lives. We love you Penny. And we miss you so much.

9/16/2018 - You left us one year ago today, and we still miss you dearly. We love you so much.
