Petunia has been a part of our lives for 15 and one/half years, and I don't know how to go on without her. Her spirit was strong right to the end, and it was the hardest decision to have to let her go across the Rainbow Bridge. Her body just failed her, and it would have been unfair to hold her here with us. She ruled our little household with her personality, love, and great joy. She was alpha dog to the very last moment, although we could see she was getting tired. How to go on without her...hard to see the day dawn without her little face. We will always love you,Petunia. It is a comfort to know that your son Spanky, who you loved, is waiting for you over the bridge. I know you will lick his face and his ears, and the two of you will wait for us to join you. Petunia, now you have your son Tano and Daughter Peeps with you at the Bridge...I know how much you love them and we miss all of you so much. Wait for us under the tree...we love you all and miss you each and every moment of every day. |
