Memories of Sandy
Her name was Sandy, she was 7 months old, waiting so quietly at the rescue
she was very sweet, we were told. We took her home that very day, not one
word of regret would you ever here us say!
A "beach dog" she became, she loved the water and sand
She ran and frolicked, she rode the waves to land.
Everyone loved Sandy, she was sweet as could be, she liked to walk herself
which was a big help to me.
4 o'clock would come and out the door she flew, she would bark for her treats
at each house she knew. The dogs would all gather for their happy hour of treats, as
we sat with our drinks, it was really pretty neat.
The time has come, she gave a good fight, but she just could not help
but go to the light. I know she is happy on the other side playing with her friends
that already took the ride.
We are feeling depressed, we miss her so much, we long for just one last touch.
We will get their someday and be with her once more, this in our hearts we know for sure.
