On May 14, 2009 (a beautiful spring morning) beautiful Sienna was born, the first of four puppies. I was blessed to be present when she entered this world from her mother's womb. Just minutes after her birth I was able to gently hold her and kiss her delicate tiny head. This was the beginning of our love story. After 12 weeks, she came to her new home in Cos Cob, Ct. with me. She adjusted quickly and was showered with love and affection. My house was now a home not just a house, filled with love, joy and happiness. Mom loved dressing her in beautiful clothing, which she was not too happy about. She loved running free in the back yard, going for car rides, to the beach, sometimes to the park to sit on a bench by the lake. We even went pumpkin picking her first year. She had a great appetite and loved her treats. One year later I decided she should have a companion, On May 7, 2010 Tino was born, no question he was perfect for her. The most beautiful Cavalier pup ever. The moment they laid eyes on each other it was pure love. Sienna let it be known, she was the big sister and Tino didn't mind at all. Together they loved the snow, visitors, other pets and their toys. They were like book ends, never wanted to be separated. Sadly, on Christmas Day 2019 we lost our Tino at the age of 9. It was heartbreaking to see the sadness and loneliness Sienna was experiencing. However, because my girl had such a strong spirit and love of life, she continued to go on. She was my HERO! Although Sienna was blessed with so much beauty, not so much with good health. She learned to live with and cope with many health issues. At the age of 8 she lost her hearing, it didn't bother her much, she learned to read my lips and hands signals. I call her my miracle PUP! She continued filling my life with love, her eyes could melt my heart. The last four weeks of her life was very difficult, she had difficulty breathing to the point she would collapse. The fight became too difficult and heartbreaking. On March 1,2022 at home my angel pup crossed over. I was able to hold her head, kiss her, tell her I love her. She licked my face and went to sleep. This was our love story, I kissed her moments after her birth and moments before her last breath. God bless you my love, I'm always with you. Please also visit Santino. |
