On the evening of July 4, 2020, I lost my very best friend in the world, Sir Shiner Dog Metting. While recovering from surgery, my adorable, loyal, incredible, smart "partner in everything" and a true part of my entire being was called across the Rainbow Bridge and is now living his best "puppy" life, still and once again. |
Our four-legged heroes are certainly not with us long enough, but the time we are given with them and the infinite compliments to our lives they provide us is simply beyond comprehension and appreciation. I want to thank each and every one of you who has reached out already with the very kind words of support, love, faith and offers of healing during this extremely tough time. Shiner Boy loved so very many of you as only he could - with unbridled doggie compassion - and continues to from Heaven today.
If you are lucky enough to have these amazing heroes in your life, please hug them all, more and more each day, appreciate EVERY SINGLE MOMENT and give them as much unconditional love as they truly give us. I always say, LIVE A GREAT STORY, and Sir Shiner Dog Metting truly did, and continues to do so, across that Rainbow Bridge.
Shiner, you are my best friend, my hero, my travel buddy and, let's be honest, me in a dog form. What I lost, and the world lost today, is the perfect example of man's best friend and an unbridled love and loyalty this universe needs more of. I miss you. I love you. And you will always be with me.
With unending love, your overly fortunate, very blessed and lucky sidekick in life and Dad,
Randall A. Metting
