Memories of Spunky
Spunky, our little yorkshire terrier, was the light of our life. We can never put into words all the joy and happiness he brought to us. Some of his nicknames were: Booch, Bugger, and Bubby. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he would sit by the tree as we decorated it. He also loved to help us open Christmas presents, as he loved to rip up all the wrapping paper. His favorite foods were macaroni and meatballs and chinese food, and for dessert, his favorites were apples and ice cream. He would wait by the window daily for Carolyn to come home, because he knew that's when he would get a treat. We always made sure he wasn't far from his favorite blanket and pillow, and his favorite toy, which was his big, brown teddy bear. Most of all, Spunky just loved being with his Mommy, Daddy and Carolyn at "his" home and roaming around the yard, playing and chasing the birds and squirrels. He loved going for long walks in the park with his Daddy. He was such a brave little boy when he became diabetic last October. He would take his insulin shots with such courage, because he knew we were trying to help him. That's the way he was his whole life, brave, loving, and SPUNKY. The void we feel right now is unbearable, as everything around the house reminds us of our little Spunky, but deep down we know that he is still with us and will be forever in our hearts. There will never be another dog like him. 12/23/04 - It's our first Christmas without you, baby and there are no words to describe the void we feel. All of us will think of you on Christmas Eve. It will be so hard not to cry when everyone is opening up their gifts and I'll be remembering how you loved to rip up the wrapping paper. We love you so much, our little angel. October 22, 2005: Your first anniversary at Rainbows Bridge. You are more missed today than that horrible day one year ago that you were taken from us. The void we feel can never be filled.
