Memories of yeller
He use to allways lay by my computer chair or on the desk when I was in my room.
He has been diabetic for the last year. I woke up this morning with him hobbling around on his back leg.
I thought he had fallen since he lost the use of his legs last year when he was found to be dibetic. But after 6 months he got the use of his legs back but I allways worried about how strong they were. Took him to the emergency room expecting to do xrays to see if his leg was dislocated or something. They Immediately said he was dying even though a little while before that he was walking with allot of pain but walking. They said he was in heart failure and turning blue. They said the leg limping was probably a blood clot from the heart failure. I have been worried for the past few weeks I noticed him looking like it was an effort to breathe, now I wonder if I had done something sooner would this not have happened. But they said they could try and get him out of heart failure but he would maybe live a year but would be suffering all the time. Wanted to be with him when he passed but they said he was too weak to get an iv in. I think he was just struggling to much for them, but I dont know. He was allways a fighter on his blood test visits. If I had known this morning I could have hugged him extra even though he hated that. Its been a year since momma cat passed and 4 since favorite momma's son passed, and march will be my dads first year gone and they still hurt the same as the day they happened but I only cry a LIttle. But now im back in full bawling mode for all of them. But for Yeller the most from the shock. I shure didnt think id be back here only a year and a month later.
