When I was a baby, I was scratched by a cat and was scared of them for a good portion of my childhood. I always wanted a dog, but my dad said they were too much work. One summer, about 9 or 10 years ago, my family and I visited my mom's friend in her summer home. She had 6 cats and that I had to live with. Not only did I learn to live with them, but I loved them. Among the cats were Felix, Miranda, and Siam. Felix was a quiet and shy gray and white DSH. He was the first cat to ever lick me. I immediately fell in love with him. He was the reason I started to love cats. Miranda was a beautiful female red tabby. Female red tabbys being rare, Miranda knew she was special and was not afraid to flaunt her knowledge. Siam was, of course a Siamese. He was daddy to all the cats and loved to hang out on top of a bookcase. I remember wondering how a cat could jump so high, but he did. Last week I found out that the 3 of them died in the same week! Felix and Miranda had cancer. After they passed on, Siam died because of a broken heart. Being the "daddy cat," he took care of all the others, but had a strong attachment to Felix. The loss of his best friend was too much for his old heart to bear. I wish I could have seen them 1 more time. Now they're playing together in Rainbow Bridge. I just have 1 request though. Felix, Miranda, and Siam, if you see my baby Arnie and his cousin Boots, who both died of FELV, please tell them their human and feline family misses them terribly. I miss the 3 of you also. Let them know and I know they will take great care of all of you now. Have fun with my babies. I love all of you.
