My sweet Patches, it is two years since you have been gone and it feels like it just happened. They say time heals all wounds but the wound of your departure is not healed yet. I miss you greatly Patches,
I miss your loving paws around my neck, your tongue licking my face.
I miss your snuggling beside me in the bed. I miss your being on my lap and chest as I sat in our favorite chair. The chair is not the same without you my darling Patches. I have not sat in it much since you left. My heart aches for you my love. I can't wait til we are together again. At least you have Sammy with you, together you play and wait for me to come some day. I will always remember you Patches.
