Jessica Tandy Fellow
by Anthony
Jessica Tandy Fellow was a 10-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She was big dog who filled our home with so much love. We were away for two weeks and on our return she stopped eating. The vet thought she had pancreatitis. It was then found she had an obstruction in the intestines. Within a week she was dead. She was to have an ultrasound but the vet said her liver had been affected. It appears she must have had cancer throughout her body. We don't have children so she was our big child. When we moved into our new home 10 years ago, she came with the house. We think she was about 6 months old and was thrown off, hungry and had been mistreated. We took her in and loved her for 10 years. She was a wonderful friend, jogging partner. Though she was big, we took her with us when we could. Her death is like someone put a knife into our hearts. It has only been a few days, but we realize this is going to take a long time to get over. Thank you for listening to our aching hearts.
