May 29th 2000 my boyfriend and I were on our way to look at puppies. When we got there we knew right away that Rocky was the one. He was the runt of the litter yet he was the biggest one! He had one blue eye and one brown and his paws were as big as a full grown dog. He was only 8 weeks. We took him home and cared for him mcuh better than he had been. He moved with us to our new home and was there when our daughter was born. He looked out for her. Our daughter got older and started to really play with Rocky. She jumped on him, pulled his tail, poured sand on him and he just sat there like a good pup. She would go to kiss him and he would give her a big lick on the lips. They loved each other. On Monday Sept 1st Rocky got out of the yard and didn't come home. We looked for him for two days, putting up posters, calling around to various places. Our daughter called out to the window for him to come home :( On Wednesday evening my husband decided to walk up the train tracks, he came back with his head held down, I KNEW he was gone! Our daughter tells everyone that Rocky is in heaven playing with the puppies, she tells themm he isn't coming home but he loves us! She asks about him almost everyday. I feel so empty without him. Just the other day I threw some leftover cheese (he loved cheese) outside for him not even thinking twice! RIP Rocky!!
