To my girl at the bridge
by Ed
Kelly, it has been 4 years tonight, that you had to leave. You were only 8 years old, and I know you fought hard as did we and Dr. Tim but you were so ill that there was nothing we could do. I have missed you and thought of you every day. I miss sharing our bowl of ice cream every night, the couch, and the many nose washes you gave me. In short, I just miss you. Since you had to leave, we have gotten a Gordon named Liberty, and no, she is not a replacement for you, just a poor girl that needed a home, and I knew you wouldnt mind. No one could replace you. R. J. has inherited your spot on the couch, and your share of the ice cream, tho he is your son, he is Just not you. Erin is 13 and she is showing her age, and will probably be with you in the next year or so. Red is 10, so he will be with me for awhile yet. When its their time, be there to meet them ok?. Kelly, if you can, let me know that you are ok, and happy. you did twice, and if you can please do it again, and let me know you are here In the meantime, keep an eye on old Red and Sean for me, and bring them to meet me when I get there. I will always love and miss my pretty girl
