Tyler wanted you before he even saw you.
He dreampt of your sweet kisses
He prayed for you at night
His best friend
Mommy and Daddy finally gave in
And made Tyler's dream come true
We hid you in Tyler's room with his stuffed animals.
He will never forget the first time you and him met.
You were shy at first
But then came to know all of us well
Especially Tyler
He opened up to you
Told you everything
You were his buddy
He made sure you had food and water
Never let you out in the rain or cold
And always cried for you if we were away from home
You loved his socks
You would steal them from him
You helped me wake him up in the morning
You greeted him when he came home from school
You loved him so much
I would always say how much you and him were alike
Neither one of you listening to me
But you took care of one another
You ran out to play with him Saturday
You got curious like you always did
And ran off to explore, just like Tyler
But this time, you didnt come back
You are gone
We had to bury you
A part of Tyler is gone
He cries for you Sparky
He picked out some special socks for you
to be buried with
He misses you dearly
His childhood would not be the same if you had not entered
Today he went to school
Wearing a wooden cross that he made
With your name on it
Even though you are gone
Your memory is still with him
I try to explain to him
When he cries "mommy I want to touch him"
That you are in his heart now with Jesus
But his little heart doesnt understand
It only aches for you
Oh, Sparky I will miss all that you gave us
Your unconditonal love
And your special relationship with our special little boy
You left us too soon
You were only a child yourself
You taught Tyler so much just in the short time you had
He will never forget you!
As you will never forget him!
