They say your just a "dog" what do they know whoever they really is ... maybe thats true but then again they didnt live with you your entire life .... they dont know how its been ... ever since you were born .. i remeber holding u in the palm of my hand as soon as you were here with me ... the love u gave me was always there ... i never had to question it .... when i was down and thought nothing could cheer me up there you were at my feet .... when i needed someone to show me they cared about me , there you were crawling into bed snuggling up and stealing the covers from me ... when i needed someone to make me laugh there u were tossing a frisbee in the air .... just trying to be silly ... when i needed someone to talk to youd lay down next to me and listen to all my secrets ... a nd yes your eyes told me you were listening ... you always knew what to do like u were able to read my mind .... my only hope is that i was able to be there for you as much as u were for me ... soon u will be leaving this world ... i dont know how ill ever go on without u here but i know i must thank you for sharing your life with me you were my companion , my friend my confidante .. but what do i know they say your just a dog ?? if they only knew ... duke i love you and always you will remain in my heart ....
