My darling pet, I miss you so,
My heart aches for the day I let you go.
I see your toys lying everywhere,
I cant move them, this I cannot bare.
In the nighttime, when I try to sleep,
I reach for you and I start to weep.
Its been a month since the day you passed,
Oh how long will this aching last?
I realize your pain is no more,
But still I expect you to walk thru that door.
When the angels play their trumpets loud,
You sing along and would make me proud.
Oh the wonderful times we had,
I think of this and it makes me glad.
I could never replace you, this is so true,
But my life is better for have knowing you.
Tho my heart aches and I miss you so,
I know in my heart I had to let you go.
Keep the Heavens safe and warm,
And Ill see you again, one glorious morn.
