Snicker Doodle
by Michelle Allen
Snickers, I would give anything to have you back again. Your brother misses you terribly and so do I. I can still see you running around the backyard, fighting with Monty over a toy, and barking just because you loved the sound of your own voice! If I had known that ball you ate would take you away from me I would have never given it to you. But you loved balls, you loved to chase after them, catch them in your mouth, and also chew on them. You taught yourself many tricks and had me trained well to do whatever you wanted! I miss shaking your paw and petting your sweet little head. You came a long way from the day that you and your brother, Monty, were dumped at a shelter's door. I only wish you could have stayed longer, you were just a baby at 1 1/2 years of age. You loved to be outside running around or hiking with me so it's fitting that you left me on such a beautiful autumn day. You have such a beautiful spirit and I hope you are doing well running and barking again with Alex at the Bridge. I will never forget my sweet little Snicker Doodle.
