After my beloved Basset Sissy crossed over 2/17/2K, she was cremated & sent to Arizona for burial. That's where we found each other & lived there together for most of our lives. On 3/9/2K the cemetary phoned me to let me know Sissy had arrived & burial would take place the next day. What a sense of relief I felt, knowing things were running smooth & I wouldn't have to worry about this part of my grieving. Well later on I was driving & it started to rain & I thought to myself that my Sissy was giving this to me, it was a warm day & the rain was nice. I spoke softly out loud "Maybe you can give me a rainbow too". & no more than a mile later I looked to my left & in the sky was the biggest, most brightest rainbow I'd ever seen in the Massachusetts or anywhere for that matter! I swear you could see it from end to end, there were people all along the sidewalks looking at it & even the big Boston newspaper printed a picture of it the next day. There was even another one behind it, not as bright, but others told me they saw it also. Well don't you know I immediatly became a blubbering idiot, I couldn't believe my eyes. But I also felt the greatest peace since my last day with Sissy, because I believe & I listened with my heart & I absolutly heard her tell me "I see it Mum, & I'm almost there, I'm almost home".
