The Boys
by TRIX BELCHER
I would like to share a little story wiyh you about my bestest sister and her undying love for one of her boys that recently died. My sister never had any children that she actually gave birth to, but she has devoted her life to love and take care of God's little four legged babies. At one point in her life, I guess she had about fifty of this wonderful critters. Then about 17 or 18 years ago, a sweet little ball of white fur was given to her. His name came to be Tony G. Patrick. The love and closeness these two shared was just the same I'm sure as the love I feel for my "human children". Sometimes, I wonder if it was more! Tony was sick for some time, he seemed to have "cheated" death for a few months. But this month of Jan.99, God decided He could not wait any longer, and He say fit to end his suffering. It is so hard to say goodbye and let go of someone who has brought you and many others so much joy.My sister's heart is heavy with sadness and an emptiness that I do not believe will ever be repaired. For this "boy" was special. I would like for her to know that I believe Tony knows he was and will always have a special place in her heart, and I think he would want her to live and love again. She has other "babies" that NEED her. Tony will wait for her, but for now he is playing and running free in GOD's Garden. "Fetch Tony, run boy run". Ilove you sis.............Little Sis...Trix
