Pocho
by Donna Bell
My dearest Pocho, You came into our lives, home and hearts just a short time ago. You must have endured much in your five years of life, but you finally found a home with love for you. I brought you into work with me this morning for a simple spay and dental, but the years of neglect took its toll on your health, and it was not meant fr you to come home with me at the end of the day. Dr. Rod, Donna and Clippy tried so hard to save your little 2 pound body (I was too upset to lend a real hand). You tried so hard to come back. All I could do was watch you take a few last breaths and watch your pulse slowly fade away. I think you had everyone in the clinic crying at some point today. I just hope that you know now that there are good people in this world and that me and the rest of the family love you with all our hearts. You will be remembered and loved forever. Love Mom, Dad, your two girls Shalane and Shannon, Sadie the other poochie and Capi the tormenting cat. P.S. See you over the Rainbow Bridge my little girl.
