Guarding her prey
by Lia Binetti
Guarding her prey, She knows she has the power. She just lies there, Waiting for it to make a move, Daring it to try. She won't kill it, Though she knows she can. She won't eat it either, Instead, she toys with it, Watches it with pride. It tries to camouflage itself, And attempts to play dead, But to no avail; She's too Cunning for that. It makes one more attempt at freedom, Then WHAM! Silly little lizard, It never even had a chance! Lia Binetti 3/11/03
