CHANCE
(My buddy boy, Chancellor)
Chance, my friend I miss you so much more than you can know
You were my dearest friend, but I know you had to go
You brought so much joy & love to our family
Now you’re absent from this earth & free from misery.
A smarter & more loving Lab, never there has been
So cool, calm & relaxed, you must have practiced Zen
All that knew you loved you as only you would have it
Looking back I’d have to say, that eating was your habit.
Best of Show you did win & win it several times
Best damn dog to ever live, if there’s such a prize.
In the ring, my dear boy, you were such a ham
Prancing ‘round that ring, just knowing, “You the man”!
I know your in dog heaven now running all around
And hey, up there, no name tags needed, they don’t have a pound!
You’re missed by me & Brandy, Dad & Kathy
By Bandit,& the squirrels & the Zachary’s
One day if fate is kind my friend maybe we will see
Each other again in Heaven, (but there maybe we’ll need a leash).
Missing my buddy boy,
-Dave-
